Aimee Picon currently serves as a school administrator in a private school for children with learning differences. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood – both earned with honors from the University of Florida. She is North Carolina certified to teach early childhood (birth-Kindergarten), elementary education (K-6), and special education (K-12). She is a Wilson Dyslexia Therapist and Wilson Credentialed Trainer who provides public workshops and professional development in the Wilson Reading SystemⓇ. She brings 19 years of experience as an educator to the Lionheart Academy Board and hopes to assist in growing Lionheart as a strong, safe, educational institution tailored to meet the needs of the students with autism. Aimee is one of the founding members of Lionheart Academy and continues to serve on the board as secretary, as well as admissions and accreditation.
